Visual simulations

The above video shows how disturbances of print can be perceived by some individuals with Irlen Syndrome. These may occur on paper, books, road signs,  white boards, smart boards and computer screens.

This is not due to dyslexia, but is a symptom of Irlen Syndrome. If visual distortions are occuring then a screening for Irlen is necessary and treatment to stop them put in place before an accurate dyslexia diagnosis can be obtained.
